Breathing, It is a Natural Habit

Breathing,  A  Habit We Picked Up When Born

After my wife and I were married, I soon discovered she had a breathing problem due to her allergies and sinus.

Individuals with breathing problems are from all walks of life. For some it is an allergy problem due to home

environment yet for others it is outside surroundings.

Outside surroundings can be allergies from dust, trees and a litany of other areas.  We find our young children

suffering from allergies when playing in the grass or sandboxes.  Some kids will outgrow their allergies as their

immune system becomes stronger and the years pass.

Dust is a particular problem for small black children thus more have asthma problems.  Allergy specialists are in

great demand and certainly do outstanding work helping to correct these breathing and allergy problems.

Nature’s way of cleaning the outside air is a thunderstorm with lightning creating ozone. Do you remember walking

outside after a good rain and smell the air, so refreshing and clean?

Ozone, stable oxygen 02 with an extra atom, which is 03, helps to neutralize bacteria, viruses, mold and some    man-

made pollution.

If we remain inside the home is it less likely that someone will have to suffer from allergies and sinus problems?

Hardly, in fact, statistics tell us that we spend as much as 95% of our time indoors.

As far back as 1989, the Environmental Protection Agency informed Congress indoor air in one of the nations most

important environmental health problems.

Let’s go back a few years when the energy crunch was going strong.  Homes were built to be energy efficient.  Tightly

sealed doors and windows, power companies advocated sealing your electrical outlets to prevent outside air from

coming in was news items.  Thus sadly this philosophy is still being preached today. Understandably utility costs are

higher today than yesterday and we must look for ways to better economize our dollars.

Without providing for clean air inside our home we will continue to suffer breathing problems.  Here is a list of

causes for contaminated air in our homes:

  • Dirt and dust from our clothes
  • Dry cleaning chemicals
  • New carpet
  • New fabric covered furniture
  • Wood products, bookcases, television stands due to glue and formaldehyde
  • Dust mites in bedding
  • Cleaning agents
  • Body sprays, colognes and perfumes

And the list can even be enlarged.

What can be done about this air pollution in the home?  When we married we purchased the air cleaner from a local

department store and even another later. Only after researching did the facts come for a solution. A decision was

made to purchase an air purifier that emulated the outside air just after a rainstorm. Today my wife enjoys health

free allergy and sinus breathing problems.

Do the math.  How important is your health?  Do the research.  Breathing is a natural habit we picked up when born.
